While there are many challenging puzzles in Hell Is Us, the one in Watcher’s Nest will really test players’ patience and puzzle-solving skills. Also, contrary to other challenges you might encounter around the map, this one is mandatory if you want to progress through the story, meaning you’ll have to spend quite a lot of time solving the mystery behind this place. But if you want to speed things up and just get out of there as soon as possible, here’s a guide on how to complete the flower puzzle inside the Watcher’s Nest.
Ceramic Flower Puzzle Solution
The Watcher’s Nest is a location you’ll visit as part of the main quest of Hell Is Us. You will unlock it by obtaining two emblems, one from Agatha’s body and one from Tania, which are quite easy to get, as the story takes you there. Once you have them, you can head to the path behind Tania, up the ladder, and follow the road that leads you to the Watcher’s Nest beyond the foggy area.
Place the symbols in their respective slot, and then enter Watcher’s Nest. By now, you should have the Wall Grooves note, which you can equip in your quick slots to look at it faster. This will be very important because the riddle is in its text.
The riddle you need to solve is:
Through his name, his title, the symbol of his Order, and the date of inception of his Order, shall the path be revealed.
While I could go over where to find each clue and what everything means, I’ll go straight to the actual puzzle solution, so you can progress through the main quest faster.
First, head to the bottom of the Watcher’s Nest and locate the chest that contains four ceramic flowers.
Return to the entrance of the building, more specifically to where the round structure is surrounded by several crests on the wall. There, you will need to place the first flower under the Grief crest.
Then, turn back and head toward the end of the hall where three slots are. These ones have different crests, and the one you’re looking for is the one at the far right that has the sigil of the order.
After placing the second flower, turn around and head to where the lab/office is, but immediately turn right to where the blue banner is with two slots on each side. Head for the slot on the right and use the third flower there.
For the last flower, turn around and locate the whiteboard; there is a hidden room behind it. Enter it and place the last flower in the slot on the left where the Algea plate is.
If you did the steps correctly, the screen will shake and you’ll get the [RUMBLES] subtitle at the bottom of your screen. Once that happens, head to the bottom of Watcher’s Nest and pull the lever to open the coffin. You’ll obtain the following items:
- Mark of the Betrayed (Passive Relic)
- Blue Flower Scroll (Quest Item. You need to speak with either Ernest Caddell in Senedra Forest or Rebecca in Jova to continue the main quest).
On your way out, you’ll also meet Gildas, who gives you rewards after completing Good Deeds and Closing Timeloops.
