How To Summon the Buggy in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Because Tifa shouldn’t have to walk.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake restricted the player to the dystopian streets of Midgar, so walking everywhere was fine. Rebirth‘s open world, meanwhile, demands faster and more versatile transportation. If you want to have time to see the Grasslands, Junon, and Cozmo Canyon, you’re going to need some help. That’s where the buggy comes in. This all-terrain vehicle might look funny, but it’s mandatory for hauling Cloud and the gang into otherwise restricted areas. It’s also just quicker, meaning you’ll have more time left to pal around with Red XIII. Here’s how to summon the buggy in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Remake restricted the player to the dystopian streets of Midgar, so walking everywhere was fine. The open world of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth makes the buggy essential, however, as the terrain is rougher and there’s a lot more ground to cover. Here’s what you need to do to summon this iconic vehicle:

  • Open the map
  • Press “D-Pad-down”
  • Select “Buggy” and confirm your selection

Though it’s easy to summon the buggy in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, there’s a catch. You can only use it while you’re in the Corel Region. Calling it in any other region won’t get you anywhere. Fortunately, Rebirth is designed in such a way that you won’t really need it anywhere else. Just don’t go for any long hikes in other regions thinking you can just grab a quick ride back. Taking the buggy with you as a parting gift from the Gold Saucer might not be the most dramatic moment in FF7, but it’s one that stuck with fans, so it’s nice to see this classic ride return.
