In Demonologist, you can solo or co-op up to a party of 4 to hunt and exorcise evil entities. When you start the game, your first job is in a traditional haunted location: an abandoned home. Some players struggle to make it beyond this point, however. So, we’ll share some tips to help you survive your journey in the Abandoned House inย Demonologist.

How to Survive Abandoned House in Demonologist

How to Survive Abandoned House in Demonologist

For beginners, the Abandoned House is a chance to learn more about the game, the demons, etc. That said, it can have a bit of a learning curve. It’s not meant to be incredibly difficult, but it’s also not here to take things easy on you. We don’t expect you to survive your first encounter, so it may take a few playthroughs to get the hang of things and collect enough money for more Tools.

The Abandoned House is tough to survive in. The lighting is abysmal. It can feel as though you’re suffocating with how little space there is to move around despite the house being 3 stories. So, we understand how players can get a little anxious on the first map.

There are some ways you can increase your chance of survival though.

First off, let’s break things down inside the Abandoned House:

  • 3 Stories:
    • Ground Floor: Main haunting area
    • First Floor
    • Basement

If you want to survive in the Abandoned House inย Demonologist, you want to make an effort toย turn on the lights. Youย cannot turn on every light, however. You can only light around 2 rooms or so before the bulbs begin to break. So, note which areas you will be in the most and focus your lights there.

Of course, you can always bring Flashlights and Candles. This will light the way around you in rooms you cannot afford to light up on their own.

Having lights in the Abandoned House ensures that your Sanity remains stable to further help you survive thisย Demonologistย encounter. We want our Sanity to remain around 95%. Remember to head out to the HQ to check and catch your breath a bit.

Now, if this is the first time you enter the Abandoned House, work onย finding the Entity Room. You may not always survive this, but this gives you a chance to explore the house more, understand how to look for evidence, and gain more money so you can buy all the supplies you need.

Speaking of Tools, to succeed and survive the Abandoned House inย Demonologist, have your group bring the following items:

  • EMF Detector
  • ESG Device
  • Candle
  • Spirit Box
  • Sanity Pills
  • Crucifix
  • Photo Camera
  • Tripod Camera
  • Ecto Glass

To find the Entity, you need an EMF Reading of 5. This helps you not just find them, but also gather evidence. With the ESG Device, it can help make identifying spirits easier over time, allowing you to spend less time on the map and keep your Sanity in check.

Meanwhile, Ecto Glass is incredible since it can help you detect Plasma splatters all around beyond just the Entity Room.

To survive the Abandoned House inย Demonologist, keep in mind the Optional Objectives too:

  • Get a Ghost to blow out a Candle
  • Take a full-body Photo of the Ghost
  • Use Ecto Glass to find the sitting body silhouette

Sanity Pills and the Crucifix will certainly come in handy here, and completing the objectives also helps you exorcise the Ghost.

These are just a few tips to help you survive in the Abandoned House. After a few run-throughs, you should have enough money to get all the Tools you need to make your experience smoother and successful.
