While the game’s name is Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, you can get more than a hundred characters, making the recruitment process a bit daunting without a proper guide. While you get some by playing the main story, you’ll have to explore the world, do some challenging quests, and even beat difficult optional monsters to get them all. If you’re struggling to fill your headquarters with trustworthy allies, we have a list of how to obtain every single character in the game.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes – Recruitment Guide
If you didn’t know, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has 120 characters you can recruit. While you could stick to the ones the story gives you, there’s an achievement for unlocking all of them. Furthermore, while not all of them fight next to you, there are supporting characters you need to expand your HQ and more. So, without further ado, here’s a list of all the steps you need to take to recruit everyone:

| Yusuke | Head to Fort Xialuke and talk to Yusuke, who is surrounded by guards. Select “Welcome to the ranks” to recruit him. |
| Kuroto | Head to Altverden Village and talk to Kuroto. Select “I’m looking for stalwart allies.” Head to Redthroat Ridge and defeat three boars. You can finish this quest while doing Mellore’s quest; no need to return to Redthroat again. |
| Francesca | On the street behind where you recruit Kuroto, follow the screaming and talk to her. After the heated conversation, select “You have a place with us.” |

| Marin | Finish Wyler’s quest at Bounty Hill. She’s an excellent supporting character that increases gathering yield of all types. Use her when farming materials in the world. |
| Gieran | Head to Greatwood (East) and talk to him. Obtain the Rune of Conservation and return it to him. You can get the rune by defeating the boss at the entrance of Treefolk Village. |

| Gigina | Return to Arenside and speak to Gigina near the entrance. |
| Glen | Beat him at a card game match at Arenside. Unlocks the card mini-game. |

| Maureus | At the leftmost side of Mountain Pass. He’ll ask you to bring someone with high Muscle Points, which translates to Magic Points. I brought someone with 300 Magic Points and was able to recruit him. |
| Yume | Head to Werne and speak with the old lady near the entrance; she’ll ask you to find Yume. Head to Redthroat Ridge to find her and recruit her. She’s the first “big” character, which uses two slots in your formation. |
| Hiro | Return to the Abandoned Mines (Midpoint) after establishing your HQ. Unlocks the item/tool shop in your HQ. |
| Chron | Get your HQ to level 2 and head to the entrance to find him. Unlocks the achievement guild. |
| Squash | Obtain a Sparklestone and return it to Treefolk Village. You can get a Sparklestone by defeating Phantombirds in Dappled Forest. |
| Mariette | Find her amulet. You can do this by returning to the Greatwood (South) and running until you encounter a Rabbit Archwitch. The amulet will be inside the chest on the battlefield; use the gimmick action to open it. |
| Pastole | Head to Twinhorne (East) and speak to him next to the potion vendor. Unlocks the hunting cabin at your HQ. |
| Carrie | Find her at Hishahn; she’ll materialize out of nowhere and leave. After finding her three times in the city, she’ll join the party. Unlocks Fast Travel. |
| Kurtz | Find him in Hishahn; he’ll ask you to look for a legendary dish that only “bark” people know. Return to Treefolk Village and speak with the Treefolk NPC next to the trading house to get the recipe. Return to Kurtz and hand him the recipe. Unlocks the restaurant at your HQ. |
| Huang | Find him at Hishahn. Catch a wheel-eye bream. You can get this rare fish at the fishing spot next to the Seaside Cavern. Unlocks fishing spots at your HQ. |

| Faye | Trigger her cutscene inside your HQ; turn left after exiting the main hall. Head to the highest part of the castle and find her talking to Yusuke. You can only do this after building B’baba’s facility. After Faye escapes again, return to B’baba, and she’ll tell you to speak with Francesca at the infirmary on the castle’s first floor. Faye will escape again, head to B’baba’s facility one last time, and then go to the castle’s second floor and speak with Faye, who’s next to Yume. |
| B’baba | After triggering Faye’s cutscene, some guards recommend you seek B’baba. Head to Daphan Village to find her at her shop, and she’ll join you. You can use her facility to learn about new allies and those you’ve recruited. This facility is useful for finding new characters. |

| Isha | Find her at the rightmost part of Eltisweiss. You must help her find a black cat in the city. You can find the cat at the left corner of the city. She’ll give you a stamp card of New Nevaeh. You then need to head to the Mountain Pass and gather Cockatrice eggs. Walk around the Mountain Pass until an Adult Cockatrice spawns, and use the gimmick to open the chest. Return the eggs to Isha, and she’ll give you another task: take a package to Arenside, head there, and deliver it to the item shop. After doing all three tasks, she’ll join you. |

| Nell | Find the backpack on the northeast side of Hishahn. They are behind a stall; talk to them to recruit them. This ally increases your inventory’s size after building the required facility. |
| Prunella | Find her at Dabavin and pay her 100,000 baqua. Once you get the money, talk to her. You’ll recruit her, and she’ll return 50,000 baqua to you. |
| Rody | Find him at Dabavin and give him a Pearl Pocket Watch. You can find one at The Den of the Dunes by farming enemies. Appraise your pocket watches until you get a pearl one. Unlocks the appraisal shop at your HQ. |
| Stadler | Find him at Imperishi’arc and beat him in a simulated combat. You must use the war-like feature of the game to beat him. Unlocks the training area in your HQ. |

As you can see, unlocking all characters in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is quite the ordeal, and having a recruitment guide at hand will make the process much faster. As I mentioned before, you can stick with the ones the story throws at you, but I don’t recommend that. All of them bring something important to the table, so don’t be afraid of exploring this map and getting every ally for your army.
