Like other RPGs, in Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion, you can find a set of overpowered items that will make the majority of the game’s content trivially easy, called Genji Equipment in this game. However, getting all of them is not going to be easy. In total, there are four Genji Equipment that you can unlock in Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion.

Table of Content:

  • Genji Armor
  • Genji Glove
  • Genji Shield
  • Genji Helm

Genji Armor

Effect:

  • Break HP Limit: Raises the HP cap to 99,999.
  • Auto-Endure: Gain super armor or will never be interrupted by damage.
  • Auto-Regen: HP will slowly refill over time.

How to Obtain It:

To unlock Genji Armor, you have to complete the Digital Mind Wave (DMW) by leveling up all seven Characters and 11 Summons to 100% Sync.

For Limit Break Characters, you should unlock all of them when you reach Chapter 6 and have access to all DMW scenes by Chapter 10. You can increase the chances of a specific Character showing up in DMW by buying their Materia from the Research Dep. QMC+ Store. Unlock the Store from a Chest when you meet Cissnei in Gongaga Village in Chapter 9. Since it is a Story Mission, you can actually miss this Chest.

To level up the Materia faster, go to “Mission 2-4-1: A Solitary Island”, unlock the Junon Souvenirs Shop, then purchase the Moogle Power Materia, which increases the chances of rolling three Moogles and level up your Materias to 5 Stars.

However, unlocking the Summon is more involved. But thankfully, getting the 100% Sync only requires you to use them once:

Summon How to Unlock

– Fight a Kactuar in “M3-1-3: Eliminate the Copies” (northeastern part of the area)
– Complete all “M10-1” Missions
Cait Sith Complete “M8-4-3: Suspicious Mail 3”
Chocobo Complete “M8-4-1: Suspicious Mail 1”
Ifrit – Fight Ifrit in Mt. Tamblin in Chapter 2
– Complete “M1-1-1: Rematch with Ifrit”
Magic Pot – In “M10-2-3: Master Tonberry”
– In “M2-2-6: World of Monsters”
– In “M2-5-4: New Cavern Found”
– In “M2-5-5: Another Cavern”
– In “M2-5-6: The Great Beast”
– In “M7-6-6: The Determined Recruiter”
Appease it by performing Jump, Fira, Gravity, and Assault Twister
Moogle Complete “M8-4-4: Suspicious Mail 4”
Odin Complete all “M8-1” Missions
Phoenix – Reach Chapter 8
– Start and complete the “Seven Wonders” Side Quest

Tonberry – Reach Chapter 3

– Complete all “M10-2” Missions

Genji Glove

Effect:

  • Break Damage Limit: Increases the damage cap to 99,999.
  • Auto-Critical: All attacks are now Critical Hits.

Can be found in “M9-6-3: Biomechanical Threats” Mission. Head west into a large room then check the corners for a Chest containing the Genji Glove. Unlock the Mission by completing “M8-5-6: Treasure Info 6.”

Genji Shield

Effect:

  • Auto Guard:
    • Auto Wall: Barrier and MBarrier are active at all times.
    • Omni-Status Ward+: Prevents all Status Ailments.
    • Absorb Elemental Damage: Absorbs HP from Fire, Ice, and Lightning attacks.

How to Obtain It:

To get the Genji Shield, you have to meet and fight the Magic Pot enemy (a goblin inside a yellow pot). Then you will have to perform specific attacks in order to appease it:

  • Gil Toss.
  • Costly Punch.
  • Deal 99,999 damage.
  • Octaslash (Sephiroth Limit Break).

However, keep in mind that if you haven’t encountered and obtained the Magic Pot Summon first, then that means you’ll have to find it twice:

  • Once to add Magic Pot to your Summon.
  • And the second time for obtaining the Genji Shield.

Genji Helm

Effect:

  • MP & AP Cost Zero: All moves no longer cost MP and AP.
  • Auto-Libra: Libra is always active.

How to Obtain It:

Purchase the Genji Helm from the Network Shop Shade for 1,000,000 Gil. Unlock the Shop by completing the “M9-5-4: Abnormal Power” Mission.
