Freyna has been one of the most powerful Descendants in the game ever since the open beta last year. However, you’ve got two options to unlock Freyna in The First Descendant: 1. Lose some cash and buy the character. 2. Grind your way through and earn Freyna by completing tasks and challenges. The unlocking procedure depends completely on your luck, but here’s a no-nonsense guide for you to achieve Freyna in The First Descendant.

Notice: You must have unlocked the Sterile Land and Vesper regions to unlock Freyna in The First Descendant. Also, make sure you pick the “Obtain Freyna’s Equipment” quest before hitting the road.

  • Amorphous Material Pattern Freyna: Sterile Lands – Rockfalls
  • Freyna Enhanced Cells: Vespers – The Lumber Yard
  • Freyna Spiral Catalyst: Vesper – Ruins
  • Freyna Stabilizer: Vesper – Timberfall

So, you’d have to obtain four major items to unlock Freyna. Each of these items is earned through missions, and some of them only give you a 20% chance of acquisition, hence why you might need to redo them over and over again until you get the prize.

Are you ready for a time-consuming adventure, Descendant? Let’s begin!

The idea of unlocking Freyna in The First Descendant sparks in your mind when you’re in the Sterile Land. There’s a secret mission here marked on the map above, where you’d have to destroy three Vulgus databases in one place and kill a pesky boss. It’s be over in less than 5 minutes if you’ve upgraded your firearms.

Then, you’d have to switch with Bunny so that you can destroy the Void Fragment in the Rockfalls district. Do that, and you’ll earn yourself enough Void Shardes as a ticket to go face-to-face with the Vulgus commander at Rockfalls Void Fusion Reactor.

Go to the location above to spend those shards on the mission. No worries, it’s just two so-called “Elite” enemies that you can easily take down.

For the next three Freyna-related items, we need to go to the Vespers region. Starting at the south part of the map on a mission called the Ruins Path, you’ll have a 20% chance of unlocking the Freyna Enhanced Cells item in The First Descendant.

The mission is to escort the Guide as she scans the area. And that’s it. It takes up to 5 minutes in total, and there won’t be any Elite bosses to slay. If you didn’t catch the prize you’re looking for, restart the mission.

Our third step in unlocking Freyna in The First Descandant is to run a mission in Vesper Ruins called the Ruins Underground Entrance. The goal is to kill a bunch of Vulgus forces and then face off a 2-phase boss called the Split Cell Demigor.

The Split boss isn’t a kicker here, so he doesn’t come with any eye-catching special ability. All you need to do is drain his HP, shoot the orbs in his second phase, and repeat. Got Freyna Sprial Catalyst? Restart the mission if you haven’t.

Where To Find Freyna Stabilizer

The final step, and well, we’ve got a final boss to kill for, like, 5 times. I got the Freyna Stabilizer and unlocked the character in 3 tries, but it differs for every player; hope you’re luckier. So, head for the location above on Vesper, and start “The Shelter” operation.

Proceed with your fellow Descendants forward until you reach an open area where a Joker wannabe starts talking. This is the final boss of this stage called Seudo. But before that, you must defeat another one of those 2-phase mini-bosses.

Once you’ve killed the first orb-carrier, it’s time to go straight for Seudo’s head. He’s waiting for you at the end of the road. There’ll be a ton of enemy forces, so make sure you play it safe. Seudo has 3 phases, and in each one of them, he conjures orbs that shield him; you know the drill.

If you’ve got the final part for unlocking Freyna in The First Descendant, then’ you are one lucky soul. If not, you’d have to go over the mission and kick Seudo as many times as it takes so that you can have the Freyna Stabilizer.
