Season 2 brought quite a lot of new content to Diablo 4. One of the main innovations is Vampiric Powers, which can increase your stats or even give you new abilities. However, when spending Potent Blood in Diablo 4, you may notice that some versions remain blocked, such as Metamorphosis. And since it is one of the classic vampire powers, many players want to get it. But to do this, you must complete Serpent Cornered in Diablo 4 Season of Blood.

Thankfully, this particular quest is pretty easy to beat. Just follow these steps:

  1. Find Ked Bardu in the Magistrate’s Office and talk to her.
  2. Then you need to join Hunter Erys in the City of the Ancients. This location can be found in the Darkened Dungeon in the Yelesna region.
  3. Inside you will find many enemies that you will have to kill. Clear em’ out.
  4. Finally, fight the Lord Zir boss.

This battle will not be easy as Lord Zir is strong and can kill you if you are not careful. But fortunately, almost all of his attacks can be avoided:

  • Hand or Scythe Attack – The boss uses these attacks when you are directly in front of him. However, they have a large radius, so you are better off standing behind Lord Zir.
  • Blood Seekers – From time to time, the boss will spawn these enemies. Destroy them first; otherwise, they will distract you and may even kill you.
  • Wind Stream – This is a long-range attack that can be easily dodged. Just run in a circle when you see a wide strip of light on the floor.
  • Blood Pools – This is the most annoying and dangerous Boss ability. When spawned, these pools fire projectiles in all directions. In addition, they will poison and slow you down. Therefore, try to avoid them.

Avoid his attacks; you will easily kill him and complete the Serpent Cornered quest. And as a reward, you will unlock Metamorphosis in Diablo 4 Season 2. This is the only way you can get this Vampiric Power, so you definitely need to complete this quest.

Metamorphosis is a fairly expensive Power, as it requires a lot of Pacts to activate:

  • Ferocity – 2
  • Divinity – 2
  • Eternity – 2

However, Metamorphosis is worth all your effort to unlock and activate in Diablo 4. It allows you to turn into a cloud of bats for a few seconds every time you evade. In this form, you are unstoppable and deal 160% physical damage to all enemies in your path. In addition, you can apply the Vampiric Curse effect to the hit enemies.
