We all know that the loop of any base-builder is gathering materials to build better machines and other facilities for your base. However, there comes a time when you have made everything there is and need to unlock some new things. Well, that’s where recipes come into play. While StarRupture gives you many starter facilities, stations, and machines, you’ll need to unlock recipes as soon as possible, especially if you want to start processing materials into more valuable items. Here’s how you can unlock recipes quickly in StarRupture.
Unlocking Recipes in StarRupture
There are two ways to unlock recipes in StarRupture: through the recipe station and by leveling up any of the companies in your terminal.

You can get the Recipe Station by leveling up the Moon Energy Corporation. Once you have enough data points, use them with this company, and you’ll get the aforementioned station. With enough building materials, you can place it anywhere inside your base.
Once that’s done, you’ll notice that there are different menus inside the Recipe Station, each one belonging to a different crafting station, such as the Fabricator, Smelter, etc. You have to click on any of these to see the recipes and start adding materials to unlock them. Some require you to invest a few data points as well, so make sure to save a few of them.

The second way to unlock recipes in StarRupture is through leveling up the corporations, and these ones may take longer, but that’s because they are among the most useful ones, as some include new crafting stations, currency, and even weapons.
To level up each of the companies, you can do one of two things. First, you can deposit your Data Points in any of the companies. You’ll notice how the requirement will increase with each level. Secondly, you can level them up via the Orbital Elevator by setting up your production in a way that you send specific materials to one company. The Elevator will show you what materials each enterprise needs, and how many points you’ll get. It is important to remember that once you level up, the production will stop as each level requires different materials, so watch out for that.
Lastly, some recipes require Blueprints, which you can usually find inside abandoned bases or in other POIs. You have to insert the Blueprint in the Recipe Station, just like you would with any other materials. After you complete any of them, you’ll be able to start crafting or producing your new items.
