There are many elements that make a Final Fantasy game a proper Final Fantasy game, and one of those is an airship. As you all know, this is one staple that has appeared in most installments, and Final Fantasy Resonance isn’t an exception. Since you may want to explore every corner of this map, here’s a quick guide on how to unlock and use the Airship in Final Fantasy Resonance.

How to Get Your Airship in Final Fantasy Resonance

Without going into some deep spoilers, all you need to do to get your airship in Final Fantasy Resonance is complete Chapter 4 of the main story. After the final fight, you’ll be able to fly the airship anywhere you want.

To use it, it is quite similar to how you move normally on foot or on your Chocobo. The only difference is that the airship has a scanner to find Mysidia, which you’ll eventually get to use for other things, but that comes way later.

As for what you can do with the airship, well, pretty much everything. There are several zones that are only accessible with your airship, such as where Ifrit is, which is the volcano in the above image, or Clive’s Shrine, which is next to the starting area in Grandshelt.

On top of that, the airship has a full interior, with an item shop, an armor and weapons vendor, a Moogle to improve your Visions, and even an inn employee to let you rest. There’s also a save point there, and you can go in and out of the interior by pressing Square on PS5 or X on Xbox, and so on depending on the platform.

Last but not least, you can also talk to some of the characters, and a few will eventually get quests that start from the airship. You’ll get the notification whenever a quest in the airship is available, so if you see the marker, make sure to head inside to see who needs help.
