How To Unlock the Bow and Rope Dart in Dynasty Warriors: Origins – Visions of Four Heroes

Two new additions

Besides bringing four new enthralling stories, Dynasty Warriors: Origins – Visions of Four Heroes also brings two new weapons that all Guardians of Peace can add to their arsenal, which are the bow and the rope dart. However, obtaining them isn’t as easy as you may think, as there’s a lot of RNG involved, especially for one of the two new additions. If you’re struggling to get these weapons or just want to know how long it will take you unlock them, here we have a quick guide for them.

While the base game gives you all the new weapons at specific moments, the DLC does things a bit differently, as everything is locked behind random drops.

To obtain both the rope dart and bow in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, you just need to keep defeating officers until they drop the new weapon. However, it is important to note that, at least in our case, the bow dropped much faster than the rope dart.

When doing the new scenarios, we got our first bow after defeating the first officer during the Zhang Jiao campaign. Yet, for the rope dart, we saw it after defeating one of Cao Cao’s officers during the final mission of Lu Bu’s scenario.

It also seems that drops aren’t guaranteed, as we experimented with the rope dart. Since we failed the mission we got it from, we decided to restart it to see if we could get the weapon from the same officer—we didn’t. It seems to be a matter of pure luck, since we didn’t obtain the rope dart after repeating the same mission. Also, we initially thought this weapon would be locked behind Lu Bu’s campaign, but we finished it without ever obtaining the rope dart, and we finally got it during the last scenario we did.

The RNG aspect might frustrate some players, especially since both weapons are terrific and feature some amazing battle arts and gameplay features. If you want to increase your chances of getting the bow and rope dart in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, try to equip a weapon that has the “Increased Weapon Drops” trait, as that might also increase your chances of obtaining the new armaments, or at least the rope dart, which is the most elusive one of the two.
