How to Unlock the Skin Suit in Stellar Blade

Check out how to unlock the “polemic” Skin Suit in Stellar Blade.

Stellar Blade allows players to equip Eve with a series of different nano suits, each featuring unique designs. But although most of the suits are cosmetic-only items set to allow you to play dressed as you see fit, taking the field with only the Skin Suit allows you to add a new layer of difficulty to your playthrough by disabling Eve’s shield. Here’s how to unlock and equip the Skin Suit in Stellar Blade.

(This piece was made based on the game’s demo and will be updated if needed once Stellar Blade releases).

How to Unlock and Equip the Skin Suit in Stellar Blade

You can unlock and equip the Skin Suit in Stellar Blade at any time (even during the prologue) by simply removing Eve’s currently equipped nano suit. To unequip your current nano suit, head to the game’s menu, go to Exterior, and then select the Nano Suit tab before pressing X.

After you remove her main nano suit, Eve will automatically equip the Skin Suit. The Skin Suit will also receive an entry in your equipment list. The entry will only stay as long you don’t equip any other nano suit and reappear each time you repeat the process above. The Skin Suit has a one-star rarity.

As we mentioned during the introduction, going to the field while wearing only the Skin Suit will disable Eve’s shield โ€”which makes sense given how she is basically entering the field with the bare minimum in terms of protection and in what we believe is the game’s equivalent to her undergarmentsโ€” and in turn, cause her to suffer more damage per attack. You can halve the damage received by equipping defensive pieces of gear.

Should You Play With the Skin Suit?

Even though using the Skin Suit will add a little more spice to your playthrough by turning many hits into a death sentence, I recommend that only those who have already mastered the game’s parrying and dodging mechanics go to battle while wearing it. To master the timing of the moves, I recommend that you head to the training room. You can enter the training room in Stellar Blade through your skill screen. The game allows you to practice both unlocked skills, as well as nodes adjacent to it.

Stellar Blade will debut on April 26, 2024, exclusively for the PlayStation 5. You can play the game’s demo right now.
