How To Unlock Dual Blades and Lance in Monster Hunter Now
You unlock both the Dual Blades and the Lances at the same time in Chapter 2 of the main quest. Since the weapons were added in a later update, they will automatically be unlocked if you already passed this chapter. Go to your weapons list and scroll down until you see both of them.
How to Use the Dual Blades
The Dual Blades have a stamina gauge in Monster Hunter Now just below the health bar. When in Demon Mode, the stamina gauge will lower until Demon Mode ends. Since the Dual Blades are a short weapon, you need to stay close to monsters if you want to land any attacks. You are also able to unlock Demon Mode, which allows you to deal more damage both while attacking and evading.

How to Use the Lance
The Lance is a slow weapon with a long reach. Even though you’re also given a shield to help protect against monsters, you still need to be careful. Just like the other games, you can do a Jumping Thrust that allows you to do a jumping attack while a monster is charging at you.
