How to Unlock Yuffie in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Get away from that Materia! It’s hers!

Yuffie Kirasagi is the Materia-loving ninja from Wutai. The end of her involvement in Final Fantasy 7 Remake INTERmission shows her off to find new companions to join her in stealing the ultimate Materia. It’s no secret that those companions are Cloud and the gang, though fans who played the original will remember that she was a completely missable character. Despite her importance to the story, you could have ended the original game without ever having rectified her. At what point do you get Yuffie in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

You are able to bring Yuffie to the team at the very end of Chapter 6: Fool’s Paradise. You first meet her a Chapter 4: Dawn of a New Era, but her personal objectives prevent her from joining you in the moment. It’s not until after she tries to assassinate Rufus Shinra at the Junon Parade and you’re trying to play it say in Costa del Sol that she joins you.

This time around, she isn’t missable at all and will join your team naturally as a part of the story. This happens about halfway through the incredibly long story, and there’s a lot going on leading up to the moment.

I’m personnaly not a huge fan of the character. However, her involvement during major story beats and her objectively perfect gameplay have made me grow fond of her. The way you meet her even reminded me of one of the most random events from the original game, where Cloud is provided with a boost by a dolphion named Mr. Dolphin.
