In the dual worlds of Lords of the Fallen, the Umbral Lamp is your ally in various situations, and you must pay special attention to improve it with Antediluvian Chisel. In this fabulous futuristic game, there is a gap between the two worlds. On one side, you can pass through the Umbral Realm, and on the other, the realm of the Living Axiom. You must have your Umbral Lamp ready to cross from one to the other. This tool is vital to open the way to reach specific locations and defeat hundreds of enemies, achieving their vulnerability and getting their souls. To exploit its full potential, you will need to upgrade it to its best version.

First, you must find a specific material for the upgrade procedure. The Antediluvian Chisel is a rare crafting material in Lords of the Fallen. Once you get hold of it, you must find Molhu and hand it over.

You can find the Antediluvian Chisel in places like Manse of the Hallowed Brothers, Fief of the Chill Curse, or Lower Calrath. Remember to be prepared since it is difficult to find beneficial material; you will indeed have to go through a battle against a boss before getting it. As in the case of Lower Calrath, the material is found just before the Infernal Enchantress.

Once you have it, you will be closer to increasing the charges to flay souls with your upgraded Umbral Lamp in Lords of the Fallen. But first, in the vastness of Mournstead, you must head to the third area known as Skyrest Bridge and locate the bridge in the Umbral Realm to find Molhu. Use your Umbral Lamp to cross the gap between the two worlds. Now, you can go up the stairs behind you on the bridge vestige and meet Molhu in the central area.

Give the Antediluvian Chisel to Molhu, and you can spend some vigor and upgrade your Umbral Lamp in Lords of the Fallen. Although you should always give up some resources to get these upgrades, boosting a helpful tool is always good. Now, you will be able to considerably increase the amount of opportunities available to strengthen your passive skills.

In sum, to upgrade the Umbral Lamp in Lords of the Fallen, follow these steps:

  1. Get some Antediluvian Chisel from Manse of the Hallowed Brothers, Fief of the Chill Curse, or Lower Calrath.
  2. Head to Skyrest Bridge to meet Molhu.
  3. Exchange Antediluvian Chisel and some Vigor to Molhu to upgrade the Umbral Lamp.

Lords of the Fallen is available on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
