Both in the legend and in this game, Wukong possesses a vast repertoire of powers, such as transforming or powerful martial arts attacks. Therefore, you must familiarize yourself with the intricate Skill Tree system, which ranges from boosting stamina to increasing your magic points. However, several Black Myth: Wukong players have had problems using the Resolute Counterflow. This issue is more due to translating the game’s original language, Chinese, into English, but it sounds more complicated than it really is.
How to Use Successfully the Resolute Counterflow in Black Myth: Wukong
In the game, this skill states: “Perform a Heavy Attack during Light Attack Combo with a Focus Point Consumed.” In order to apply this skill, you must follow these steps:
- Collect energy by defeating enemies to earn Focus Points. You will need at least one.
- When you face your next enemy, start a Light Attack Combo (3-4 Light hits). Try to reserve some Stamina.
- As this is a Counter Attack, when your enemy is about to hit you, you must activate your Heavy Attack at the right timming.
You will know you have achieved a Resolute Counterflow when your weapon and you glow a bright red hue; then you will see a slight reddish cloud. This ability’s description says, “You will see through the enemy’s attacks.” However, after countering and damaging the enemy, it will be paralyzed, so you can take advantage of this opening window to continue attacking. In addition, after a Resolute Counterflow, you will not receive damage from the enemies of Black Myth: Wukong, for a short period of time.
Initially, you will only have one Focus Point available, but you will collect more points as you advance and improve your skills. So, you will have more opportunities to perform Resolute Counterflow and follow up on other special attacks. Try to always store some energy with the Lesser Yaoguai, as they are easier to defeat without needing to spend Focus Points or Stamina.
