In the past few months, we’ve seen HoYoverse announce several new titles alongside many updates to its existing games. However, we were not expecting another one to be unveiled before the year’s end, nor were we expecting it to be an eerie yet stunning open-world adventure. If you haven’t heard, HoYoverse uploaded a 30-minute gameplay video of Varsapura. This upcoming game, still a mystery to many, blends supernatural elements, impactful combat, gorgeous characters, and some of the most stunning visuals we’ve seen in any HoYoverse title.
Varsapura Debuts With a 30-Minute Gameplay Video
In case you missed it, we’ve attached the lengthy gameplay footage of Varsapura, which we recommend you watch as soon as possible.
As you can see, HoYoverse is moving away from its iconic anime-like visuals to something a bit more realistic but equally gorgeous. Here, it seems we take the role of a SEAL agent and are tasked with solving all sorts of supernatural cases, or at least that’s what we gather from the footage.
It also seems that Varsapura aims for an open-world experience while maintaining gameplay elements familiar to some HoYoverse fans, such as character swapping from Genshin Impact or Zenless Zone Zero. Yet, there are also new gameplay features, such as dialogue choices with different skill checks like Empathy or Persuasion. And since we’ll be able to explore the map, we won’t do it on foot only, as it seems our protagonist will get their own vehicle to roam around this gorgeous-looking city. On top of that, there are stealth mechanics, the ability to assassinate enemies, and ultimate skills that look fantastic in this art style.
On top of Varsapura, we know HoYoverse is working on Honkai: Nexus Anima and Petit Planet, both with different art styles and gameplay features. In truth, it is great to see HoYoverse bringing such varied experiences that cater to all players. Hopefully, we’ll get more information about this open-world adventure soon, because we can’t wait to jump into it.
