HoYoverse Unveils Its First Cosmic Life Sim, Petit Planet

If you thought Honkai: Nexus Anima was the only new kid on the HoYoverse block, that’s not the case anymore because the company behind Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and many other titles just unveiled its newest venture called Petit Planet. This is HoYoverse’s new cosmic life sim, which shifts away from the style we’ve seen in some of its previous titles and focuses on a cozy adventure where you can nurture a planet and eventually connect with many others to form a galaxy.

Petit Planet Is Coming to PC and Mobile, With a Closed Beta Test On Its Way

In case you missed it, HoYoverse gave us the first look at Petit Planet, the brand-new cosmic life simulator that moves away from the action-packed experiences we’ve seen lately in favor of something cozier, yet still brimming with style and customization.

In Petit Planet, players will live on a planet that they will have to nurture back and eventually form a galaxy by connecting to other planets. However, they won’t do this alone, as there are Neighbors players who can invite to settle down on their planet, thus bringing even more life to it. These Neighbors will have unique personalities and designs, and will even engage in heartfelt conversations with you. We already saw a couple in the trailer, and as expected from HoYoverse, their designs are superb, and I already saw a few I want to invite to live on my planet.

Beyond inviting Neighbors, players can expect a plethora of cozy gameplay features, such as beachcombing, mining, planting, cooking, and crafting, among others. Those with a keen eye might’ve seen some house and planet customization already, as well as different outfit options for your characters.

And if you want to take the journey starward, there will be a feature to allow you to drive your interstellar vehicle to visit other Islets to find new creatures and recipes. Furthermore, players will be able to socialize at the Grand Bazaar, the game’s hub, which will also host various events where everyone can participate.

Fortunately, you might not have to wait that long to try Petit Planet, as HoYoverse also unveiled the Closed Beta Coziness Test, which is open already for those who head to the website and register for it. While a spot isn’t guaranteed, signing up doesn’t take a lot of time, and who knows? You may have the opportunity to jump into this spacefaring journey early.
