Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies is launching its second DLC map, The Tomb, with the release of Season 2, however, two mystery weapons are coming with this update. One is a reimagined wonder weapon from the past Zombies games, while the other is “the most iconic SMG” in the Zombies history coming to Black Ops 6 Season 2. Wonder what gun that is? Well, it’s leaked.
When we talk CoD Zombies, we’re peeking at the wonder weapons, perk machine jingles, and pack-a-punch. But to think of the most iconic SMG in the Zombies lore is something that’d give most OG and new players an undeniable head scratch. I mean, like, every user might’ve enjoyed using a different SMG in the CoD Zombies maps, right?
The official Call of Duty blog update for The Tomb map teased fans for a returning wonder weapon and the most iconic SMG a few days ago. Now for the wonder weapon, it seems like Ray Gun MKII is the #1 candidate due to the fact that the name of the gun has been datamined several times in the past couple of months. But for the SMG, it’s either MP40 or PPSH-41.
Two reliable data sources for Call of Duty leaks, TheGhostofHope and HeyImAlaix have shared different info about the upcoming SMG in Black Ops 6 Zombies Season 2. TheGhostofHope has almost never failed to give the right data about CoD in the past couple of months, and he’s saying that this gun is in fact MP40. On the other hand, HeyImAlaix has datamined the game files and found this line t10_sm_p41_perth, which is directly referencing the PPSH-41.
Now, both the MP40 and PPSH-41 are some of the best and most iconic WWII weapons that’ve been featured in too many different titles other than Call of Duty. But speaking of Zombies, MP40 has been in almost every single CoD Zombies map except for the ones in Black Ops Cold War. So, which should we trust? The insider or the dataminer?
Regardless, it’s so good to see either of these two WWII SMGs return in Black Ops 6 Zombies in Season 2, and I wonder how they’ll fit into the story of The Tomb Map. Also, is this new gun going to be available in the Multiplayer and Warzone as well? Or is it a Zombies feature just like old times? We’ll know soon.
