With Airbnb only continuing to increase in popularity, there are bound to be some bad experiences. However, this Idaho woman’s run-in with a potential guest is nothing short of terrifying. Luckily, the woman would film a TikTok video recalling her close encounter. The video currently has around 130,000 views and 3,000 likes as it progresses toward viral status. The clip shared to the account @ItsMedanaShere shows the woman opening up about her encounter with someone she thought was “Planning to murder” her.
The woman’s TikTok begins with her walking around her property as viewers see the Airbnb, as well as most of her farm. Horses and plenty of other farm animals can also be seen in the background. The Idaho woman explains that she has had countless customers come and stay on her “Homestead,” and she has never had any issues before. Although that would all change with just one customer.
Idaho Woman Encounters Airbnb Creep
The woman then says that the man was hostile right from the beginning. He would allegedly be demanding the address to the Airbnb via the app’s messaging system. This set off red flags right away for the woman, as she appeared to think something was up. Although she makes it very clear that all the information regarding the house is already listed on the app. However, the man would then claim that the woman is “too far from town” and “misleading.” Finally, they would claim that they needed “help.”
With the customer continuing to show aggressive behavior, the Idaho Airbnb host was unsurprisingly a little frightened. The woman then claims that she lives in a pretty rural area and is about “three hours” from anything. With the customer behaving so aggressively, the woman appears scared of his intentions. She can then be heard in the TikTok saying, “I did not sign up for no Ted Bundy.” Although things would continue to get worse from there on.
After allegedly canceling the stay via the Airbnb app, the customer shows up at the woman’s house after the sun has already set. The woman claimed the man was standing on her porch, looking into her home with a flashlight. Her children reportedly saw the man first, before alerting their mother.
However, what the customer probably wasn’t planning on was the woman’s boyfriend coming out to greet him. After a brief conversation with the man, the customer was sent on his way. While the woman says she was messaged by him again the following day, but is seems nothing else has come from this. The internet can be a dangerous place, and you can never be too careful. Hopefully, for this Idaho woman, she never hears from this guy again.
