Besides the announcement of the release date, Zenless Zone Zero has another surprise for its fans, which is to celebrate the short time before its arrival. Many are waiting for this new game because of its combat, its animations, and, most of all, its characters. It surprised many that unlike Genshin Impact or Honkai Star Rail, ZZZ has not only half-animal characters but also anthropomorphic animals. However, one of the most surprising characters was Lycaon, who just got his Zenless Zone Zero character demo. Be careful; this canine is not a good boy.

Lycaon was one of the first characters that HoYoverse posted on its social networks; this was even before Gamescom 2023, when ZZZ still had a low profile and hardly posted anything. However, it this Zenless Zone Zero character demo, we finally can see how Lycaon works with his Victoria Housekeeping Co. colleagues and how this puppy knows how to bite. Despite his seemingly harmless appearance, this furry character ironically does not use his fangs or claws. Still, he fights with his kicks powered by mechanical propulsion, which makes him wildly dangerous.

Despite his disciplined, refined attitude and great training, Lycaon’s true nature shines through. He embodies the loyalty and protectiveness of a canine, caring deeply for his companions and always striving to please his customers. There is no better guardian than Lycaon, a character you can truly root for. Just be careful not to offer him any treats, as he doesn’t seem to take it with much humor.
