An Illinois college student’s TikTok video went viral, which depicts a professor of Illinois State University getting disrupted and berated by several students making derogatory remarks of her marketing class. This prompted the professor to call campus security if they did not stop.
TikTok user It’s.jaydaaa (Wayda), a student attending the class, posted the class disruption online, which started after the student asked the professor, Dr. Black, “if she ever had a business and she said no.”
Apparently the answer was not satisfactory as this prompted the students to then complain that the professor wasn’t fit to teach the class. “These classes don’t teach [expletive],” said one of the students, who called himself ‘Zeus.’
In response, the professor told the students she’d call security if they didn’t stop disrupting class. “That’s fine, but we’re just trying to help you out here because what you’re teaching the class is a bunch of bull-[expletive],” Zeus says.
Before leaving, Zeus advertises himself to other women, “And if any of you [expletive] want me, you know who the [expletive] it is.” This prompted a student to shout out, “Ain’t nobody want you, bro.” Zeus then called the student a derogatory slur.
TikTok user drag the students online, insisting they were being misogynistic
Wayda’s TikTok video garnered a lot of attention online, wherein many of the commenters called out the students for their behavior. Given how they acted, many viewers suggested it was rooted in misogyny. “They have the frat bro accent, entitlement and misogyny undertones,” asserted one TikTok user.
“They listen to manosphere podcasts daily,” another wrote—a movement that promotes anti-feminist rhetoric, toxic masculinity, and misogyny.
Another insulted the student’s intelligence by writing, “No way he was asking abt owning a business in a marketing class 😭.” And one more dragged the students by exposing just how bad they are with money, “Mind u they signed up for the class,” with another adding, “Mind you they’re paying tuition for it too so it’s double the stupidity!”
Wayda added further fuel to the fire by sharing in a comment that one of the students proudly claimed he makes “30k a year.”
TikTok users online continue to dunk on the students online, some of whom attend Illinois State University, but also sharing how much they enjoyed Dr. Black’s marketing class. Even Wayda weighed in, stating Dr. Black was the “sweetest prof ever.”
