I’ll be honest, I generally expect post-launch plans being shown before launch is a really bad sign. These past two times though, Ubisoft has gone ahead and proved me wrong. Watch Dogs: Legion proved to be a very solid Watch Dogs experience, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has seen universal praise. It seems the studio is finally starting to get in touch with its audience, which I only hope continues with their next game. Immortals Fenyx Rising has detailed its post-launch plans, just over two weeks prior to the game’s release, which includes a season pass. You can check out the game’s latest trailer, showcasing just that, below.
Immortals Fenyx Rising’s Season Pass
Immortals Fenyx Rising will, as most games do these days, include a Season Pass for any future content released. For Immortals Fenyx Rising, you can expect three narrative DLCs to be released. Those DLCs are A New God, Myths of the Eastern Realm, and The Lost Gods. A New God follows Fenyx as they head off to Olympos Palace, looking to join the Inner Circle of the Pantheon. Myths of the Eastern Realm, on the other hand, explores Chinese mythology as a new hero, Ku. Finally, The Lost Gods features top-down gameplay as players battle with the new hero Ash.
Each of these DLCs looks to offer something fresh, which should work hand-in-hand with the longevity of Immortals Fenyx Rising. If you aren’t already aware of the base game, Immortals Fenyx Rising follows the story of Fenyx, a young demigod. They’re sent on a quest to save the Greek gods after their home is threatened by a dark curse. Using the powers of the gods, you’ll work your way through mythological foes to perhaps bring peace back to these lands.
It looks like an exciting game, and I’m interested to see how the post-launch plans pan out. If you’re excited as well, be sure to let me know in the comments below! Immortals Fenyx Rising releases on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Stadia, and Luna on December 3. That really is a lot of platforms.
