Diddy’s legal firestorm just hit another boiling point, and this time, it’s his former assistant who’s center stage. Brendan Paul, the ex-college basketball star-turned-right-hand man to Sean “Diddy” Combs, officially took the stand in the music mogul’s federal trial on Friday. The highly anticipated testimony follows Judge Arun Subramanian granting Paul full immunity after the 27-year-old confirmed he received a subpoena and planned to invoke the Fifth Amendment. Now, he’s talking. And what he has to say could blow this trial wide open.

According to TMZ, Paul’s testimony is expected to focus heavily on the role he allegedly played in obtaining drugs for the Bad Boy Records founder, a role that led some to brand him as Diddy’s personal “drug mule.” Whether or not he deserves that title is still up for debate, but sources close to the case say the details are damning.

Diddy’s Ex-Assistant Breaks Silence After Drug Arrest

Paul made headlines back in March 2024 when he was arrested at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport after TSA reportedly found cocaine and marijuana edibles in his bag, a discovery that coincided with dramatic federal raids on Diddy’s properties in both Los Angeles and Miami. Though the charges were ultimately dropped after Paul completed a pretrial diversion program, his involvement with Diddy has remained under a microscope. Now, with immunity in hand, he’s shedding light on what really went on behind closed doors.

According to sources, Paul, a former Syracuse University basketball player, was introduced to Diddy by music exec Elie Maroun and quickly landed a gig as Combs’ assistant, a role he held for 18 months. During that time, he reportedly handled everything from errands to more illicit tasks, mirroring accusations brought forth by other former staffers. Still, the “drug mule” label remains contested, with the defense expected to push back hard.

Diddy’s Trial Descends Into Chaos as Another Juror Drops Out Over Health Scare

Meanwhile, the courtroom chaos didn’t end there. Just two days before Paul was scheduled to testify, the trial was abruptly paused, again, due to yet another juror-related issue. On what would have been the 26th day of proceedings, Judge Subramanian revealed a juror had fallen ill on their way to court and was dismissed after experiencing dizziness. This marked the second juror exit in just one week, following a previous dismissal over personal information discrepancies.

The delays have only added to the tension inside the courtroom, where prosecutors continue to stack up witness testimony, painting a troubling picture of life inside Diddy’s inner circle. While Brendan Paul’s full testimony is still unfolding, it’s clear this case is far from over, and the hits just keep coming for the hip-hop heavyweight.
