Fender benders happen all the time. At the end of the day, they’re usually not much to fret about. Exchange insurance information and be thankful that it wasn’t anything worse. However, one woman in California had a far worse time than just getting in a small car crash. The woman, who was seemingly impaired, was going through something serious, and the shocking details were caught on camera.
In a TikTok video posted by @TheRobbieHarvey, a woman can be seen sitting behind the wheel of her car just after getting into a small crash. A crowd has gathered around her and is trying to get her to stop trying to leave the scene. Eventually, the woman gets out of the vehicle and opens the back door. The California mother then pulls a baby out of the back and sets them down on the ground next to the car.
Sadly, the mother then gets back into her car and attempts to leave again. People in the crowd film her, and even take her car keys. However, a few moments later, she retrieves a second set of keys from her purse and starts her car back up. However, because of the crowd, she gives up and then takes off on foot.
California Mother Abandons Baby After Crashing Her Car
The person filming the video chases after her and follows her up to an apartment building. The woman had knocked on the door and attempted to get inside. However, the resident was confused. Eventually, the person living in the apartment is given the information and the mother breaks down over the fact that the police were called.
By the end of the video, the cops have come, and the woman is being taken away in handcuffs as the crowd erupts into a round of applause. Unfortunately, there is no update about what happened to the mother or her child.
“I think sometimes we don’t understand what new moms are going thru. This is seriously a mental health crisis in real time. Don’t get it twisted I am not defending this behavior. However this just goes to show that we need to be paying better attention to mothers with children period. Really sad situation,” one person commented.
“She’s obviously not well,” said another. “I actually feel bad for her she’s definitely going through it,” a third person wrote. “Her actions are not acceptable but that poor momma is going through something,” a fourth comment read.
Hopefully, the California woman gets the help she needs as she gets through this difficult time in her life.
