There will always be ways to divide people over their favorite season or holiday. Every year, we will always experience disputes between the changing seasons, such as those who love summer, people who look forward to the cold of winter, and many more who are waiting for the cozy Fall. But anyone who gets a little distracted will end up surrounded by Christmas decorations in the blink of an eye. So, over time, people come to a tacit agreement to repeat specific dates. When these are broken, we will have the same result as in this TikTok, when Christmas declared war on Halloween.
I am a loyal follower of Halloween, but I also enjoy Christmas. However, the significant anticipation from malls and supermarkets about the winter decorations is getting increasingly ridiculous. For example, in early September, there are snowmen on display already. This discontent set off the TikTok user homestyledinnerrolls, who found a tree with Christmas lights and went into a rage, screaming:
This is not an attack of anger like other TikTok users, but a response to the incredible lack of respect for not waiting until November 1, when Halloween ends and the Christmas season can begin.
That’s why many users echoed their dissatisfaction in this video:
There are also those who already hate Christmas:
There was even sympathy from those who love the winter holiday so much:
Amidst the heated debate, many users are advocating to keep the peace by trying to give a time of grace to each celebration and change of season. For example, we must respect that September-October is Spooky Season territory. Once Halloween is over, in the first days of November, we can start planning for Thanksgiving. Once December kicks in, we can go all out with Christmas decorations. Let’s try to maintain a sense of solidarity and respect for each other to enjoy every holiday to the fullest.
