ICE agents, whether authentic or not, have been going through a rough stretch of blunders over the last few weeks. Most are self-inflicted, but because of who they are and how they operate, they are going to have a tough time finding anybody willing to help or feel sorry for them. One California ICE agent, or rather, a man claiming to be ICE, found this out for himself when he was stopped and questioned by Pasadena citizens who wondered who he was and what he was doing in their neighborhood.
In a video shared to the PublicFreakout Reddit page by user He-is, a woman starts asking a random man who is stalking her neighborhood and asking him if he can identify himself, he quickly flashed a badge but then refuses to answer anymore questions and tells the woman she is a citizen she should call police, which she does.
In the next shots of the video, police are present, and he complains to the officers, but the police respond in this manner. “Well, we’re all in public, so they have the right to know.” The man then walks away, saying he understands. Then another man tells him to “get the f*** out of here you’re not welcome here“. The agent then comically turns to the police and says, “Excuse me, they’re offending me here.”
That is when he realizes he made a huge mistake because the police don’t offer him any assistance at all, and all of the citizens start yelling at him to get out and everybody starts honking their horns so much he scuttles into his truck and drives away. Many folks had a lot to say about the California citizens holding their own.
“Fascists have no clue about the bill of rights.”
“Literally anti-American”
“The guy flashes the badge and immediately hides it before anyone can take a closer look. I bet it came from a cereal box.”
“MAGA snowflakes”
The man never actually identifies which agency he represents, and this is becoming a problem as ICE spreads through each state; it can be tough to tell how many are legitimate and how many are posing as legitimate agents and up to no good.
