‘Moms of Liberty’ isn’t a cute, liberal political party, but a far-right, anti-LBGTQIA+ hate group. Again and again, they’ve worked to elect right-wing extremists to school boards with the same ideals. By doing so, they could ensure they could continue to ban books, push racist ideals, and discriminate against gay students. In a hilarious turn of events, Moms for Liberty faced multiple embarrassing losses during several electoral races. And one Indiana man has their defeat on display, in 4K.
Indianapolis District Councilor Nick Roberts posted a TikTok video telling all. He explains with a big smile on his face that Moms for Liberty lost “all 32 of their races last night,” and we can’t help but internally cheer. As Nick shows, “No M4L candidate won a single contested seat anywhere in the United States.”
Moms for Liberty lost in several states across America. However, the biggest losses were in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, where a massive number of members are located. Looks like they don’t have the support everywhere they thought they did. This is great news, as the groundwork they stand on is backed up by cruelty.
As an example, Moms of Liberty once tweeted on Twitter, in 2022: “Gender dysphoria is a mental health disorder that is being normalized by predators across the USA. California kids are at extreme risk from predatory adults. Now they want to ‘liberate’ children all over the country. Does a double mastectomy on a preteen sound like progress?” the group argued. I’m curious as to why the group insists on connecting predatory tactics with the LGBTQIA+ community.
One commenter alleged their area’s school board has a member of Moms of Liberty. According to her, “We have one on our school board as well, and she is awful!” but was immediately dethroned by another claiming their school board is “full of them.”
One commenter was pleased that votes made a difference and stopped this organization from gaining further traction. They said, “Whoever says voting doesn’t matter, never speak again.” Just look at Zohran Mamdani’s stellar win in New York for mayoralship.
Another shared, “Tuesday changed my mood. I feel hopeful that people are waking up and we are taking back our country.” Hopefully one day, Moms for Liberty will just be another trend that will get left in America’s past!
