Since the launch of the game, many details have delighted the players. Beyond the mechanics, the world, or the beautiful outfits, many users thought the Pear-Pal menu had its unique touch. What was most charming about Pear-Pal was its cute and somewhat cozy style, but what stole the spotlight were the cute little ducklings. Sadly, quite a few players don’t feel the same way about the more sober style this same menu got with the 1.4 update of Infinity Nikki. Although this one wanted to expand and have more space, it failed to surprise the veteran Stylists, who ran to Reddit to complain about the change.
When I started my journey in Miraland, I wanted to play the Flappy Bird-like mini-game on the Pear-Pal. Also, this menu was one of the most adorable I’ve ever seen. However, it’s time to say goodbye because the menu for Infinity Nikki 1.4 has a different style. Even though the icons are the same, we had to say goodbye to their hand-held look, the separating squares in that pastel shade of green, or the cute animal decorations. Although it’s more spacious, the layout is similar to the previous one, so the icons are not all in one part. Now it reminds me of the Wuthering Waves menu, not that it’s terrible for me, but others don’t think the same:
I hate this. Feels so generic. And they didn’t even fit everything on one page. You think that would be the one benefit of the increased space.

The space and layout are other major problems users have with this new menu setting.
I don’t mean to rub this in anyone’s face, but maybe worth noting that for some people like myself, with ultrawide monitors, all the icons actually do fit on one page now!

Players were most looking forward to Pear-Pal’s customization, such as skins or the possibility to change its colors, as if it were a cell phone case. However, now, the fans are asking for the return of the previous menu version. Let’s hope that Infold will continue to listen to the feedback of its players, as it has done so far, and bring back our cute and colorful Pear-Pal.
