Carol Acosta, also known as @killadamente on Instagram, died at just 27 years old. However, the circumstances surrounding her death have fans slightly confused, considering the potential for foul play at hand, and simply trying to get everything straight. The influencer’s sister hopped on Instagram earlier today to confirm the news that her sister had passed away, leaving behind two young children.
Khatyan Acosta, Carol’s sister, posted a picture of the two of them together on her Instagram account with a caption that read: “I love you sister and I will always love you. I give thanks to God for giving me a sisterlike you with your big heart. Rest in peace sister.”
Killadamente, Carol, spent her time preaching about body positivity and positive, happy vibes. She was only 27 years old and was soon to be blessed with a third child, with two more young children at home, her youngest, being only ten months old. Before her passing, Carol had been eating dinner, when she’s started choking and having trouble breathing. However, it seems the real issue happened after a few moments when she experienced some type of attack, which was revealed by Khatyan Acosta in a video following her beautiful post. At the time, she said the family’s still waiting on official results, but that she thought Carol had suffered a heart attack during the meal.
While fans flooded her Instagram posts with love and support, others had some interesting comments via The US Sun that really shed light on how skeptical some people can be. One said, “You can’t make this up. Nobody on that table knew how to help chocking food victims?” Another added, “Damn did nobody know how to do the heimlich maneuver in the restaurant,” pointing out that a situation like that very well would have been unlikely.
Others, however, took Khatyan’s words about suspecting cardiac arrest and gave a bit of explanation for those in the comments section. “Women die from heart issues during & right after pregnancy all the time, no matter their weight. Sounds like her heart seized up and caused the choking from food that became lodged while trying to breathe. Food allergies can also be a factor. Body shaming a young mother is just awful. Check your hearts.“
