I’ve never lost my phone before, but I imagine if I did, I wouldn’t go to too many lengths to try and find it. Yes, there are services within iPhones that allow you to track the device regardless of whether it’s on or off, but I still don’t think I would go too far out of my way to locate it. Well, one influencer, Andrea of andreaandlewis on TikTok, had her phone stolen while on vacation in London, and she decided she would not let the thief win. What she does to go and find her phone is among the most outlandish things a person could do. Fortunately, the debacle was recorded and posted to TikTok for everyone to see.
In the TikTok video above, a woman named Andrea, traveling in London, has her cell phone stolen from her. Following that, she immediately goes on a quest to locate it by using the phone’s location features. Fortunately, the features were never removed, allowing her to discover that her phone was put in a shipping box and sent to China shortly after being nicked. This is usually the part where I would give up ever finding the phone again, but she instead decided to travel to China with her husband, Lewis, and try to find it.
After arriving in the country, she and Lewis start triangulating where the phone could be until they discover it inside a shopping mall. The mall had many floors, so it took some time before the two finally found the phone in a booth surrounded by vendors selling phones. Of course, they needed to be sure that the phone they were looking at was theirs, so they asked the saleswoman behind the counter to pull it out, but she refused. Eventually, the two got their hands on the phone, and when it turned on, they realized they’d found it.
The replies to the video are filled with people commending the creator’s luck. Honestly, I have to agree and congratulate them because that journey seemed impossible from the beginning.

I’m curious to know how the conversation following the discovery went. There’s no way they were just given the phone back despite going to great lengths to get it. However, I’m just glad that it was retrieved at all!
