Sticking to your beliefs is commendable to an extent, but forcing your values on others with threats or harassment is never okay. A very entitled and bigoted Indiana mom decided to throw her dignity and self-respect out the window by intimidating an elementary lesbian teacher for giving her daughter a school assignment involving same-sex relationships. If calling the teacher a “child predator” or condemning her to hell wasn’t enough, the furious Karen took a handgun on school grounds to show how scary and serious she was.
“Say ur prayers and kiss ur kids goodbye,” the Indiana mother growled, claiming the teacher was “trying to push her personal agenda in regard to sexuality on her daughter.” According to NBC News, the crazy mom’s husband claimed she didn’t mean any harm and simply carries her firearm with her all the time for safety. “[She] forgot to leave it,” the dad continued, expressing the mom was in such a rush to give the teacher a piece of her mind, she didn’t realize she had her handgun on her person. If there was ever a time to call baloney on this man and his crazy wife, now would certainly be it.
Bizarrely enough, police simply escorted the outraged mom off school grounds with a simple smack on the wrist. It wasn’t until later that she started harassing and threatening the teacher via messaging that the authorities took the wild Karen in. “The fact that she brought a f—ing gun and was waving it around and got sent home is insane,” remarked a Redditor. “The police need to be reprimanded. This is how shootings happen.”
While the internet is rightfully furious that a parent like this even exists, some lament the trauma and poor upbringing the daughter will endure in such a household. “Sadly, the thing they’re most likely to teach their child is hatred,” says a commenter. “I feel horrible for that kid,” chimes in another. “Their parents are beyond psycho, and now they’ll be “homeschooled” away from any protection.”
While justice might have been served for the, as a commenter puts it, “insane mother,” we can only hope that the daughter won’t become bitterly resentful or brainwashed like her parents.
