Karens, ICE Agents, racism, and mass deportations are all dominating the news lately and every facet of the country since Trump took the Oval Office earlier this year. Whether it’s ICE agents on a rampage through city streets or people imitating them, it’s never been a more dangerous time to be an immigrant than right now. In Saginaw, otherwise known by locals as “Sag-nasty”, a couple was caught on video trying to imitate ICE to get restaurant workers in trouble.
In the footage, an elderly couple is seen speaking to a manager at a Chinese and Pan-Asian restaurant called Chens. In the post by CantStopPoppin on the EyesonIce Reddit page, you can see the pair of Karens claiming his wife is an ICE agent as a threat because they are seemingly unhappy that some workers didn’t treat them especially well.
It’s just blatant racism, as there’s zero reason to try to imply you are an ICE agent in a setting like this unless you are trying to put a lot of fear in somebody, even if they are legal American citizens. It’s a yucky move, and many on Reddit agreed.

The video ends before we can see what happens, but hopefully, the manager just told them to politely leave and keep them from returning, as people impersonating ICE agents won’t really add anything meaningful to the business, in Michigan or anywhere else.
