According to him, a source confirmed that Prince William especially felt “deeply hurt” because Prince Harry had targeted his wife, Kate Middleton, during these smear campaigns. Despite the impact, the mom of three has remained supportive of her husband, backing his decision to alienate Harry. This, Kinsey believes, has deepened William’s hurt, knowing he could not protect a woman so loyal to him from his brother’s attacks.
Harry and Meghan’s Media Dig at Kate Heightens Feud With Prince William
Despite the potentially damaging impact of these assertions on their reputation, sources have claimed that Kate Middleton continues her attempt to reconcile the royal brothers, Prince Harry and Prince William. However, her attempts have proven futile, with the Sussexes’ continuous airing of their grievances publicly doing little to help the situation. Speaking to Fox News Digital, Kinsey Schofield, host of the To Die For Daily podcast, revealed that William’s animosity stemmed from something much deeper than his brother’s media attacks. He divulged,
“His [William] pain doesn’t come from personal insults or headlines. It comes from his instinct to protect the woman he loves… But what cuts the deepest is Harry’s treatment of Catherine. She’s always loved him, always treated him like a little brother. That’s the betrayal William won’t forget… But Harry never seems to think about the consequences.”
More mind-burgling is that act that before the royal exit and ensuing marriage, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton shared a special bond, with William’s wife treating her brother-in-law as a “little brother.” The two reportedly got along well, with previous reports delving into just how close they were before Meghan came into the picture. Hence, having the exiled prince badmouth his sister-in-law publicly seemed like the ultimate betrayal.
Where Does Kate Middleton Stand in the Royal Feud?
While Kate has indeed felt saddened by the brothers’ fallout, she fully respects her husband’s decision, even giving up earlier attempts to play peacemaker. Royal expert Helena Chard revealed that Kate Middleton had no intention of becoming involved in the feud between Prince William and Prince Harry. She continued,
“Catherine and Harry shared a fun humor and were often seen giggling together at events. Sadly and upsettingly, Princess Catherine was dragged into the public negative narrative, which was a real smack around the face for the kind sister-in-law who tried hard to be the peacemaker between the brothers.”
A recent publication suggested the major issue remained Harry’s inability to “stay silent,” choosing instead to keep up his media propaganda against the royals amid their heated family feud. According to the source, the Sussexes’ public attack on her left Kate scarred. Notably, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have continuously aired their grievances against the Royal family in interviews, documentaries, and the tell-all memoir, Spare.
Aside from casting dirt on the institution, some of their comments have targeted Kate, including claims of her alleged bullying of Meghan ahead of the royal wedding, as well as the whispers linking the Princess of Wales to the “royal racist” comments discussed in the Sussexes’ Oprah interview. This has further cast a dark cloud over Prince Harry’s once-blossoming relationship with Prince William and Kate Middleton, to a barely salvageable point.
