A video was posted to the social media platform TikTok by user @disneybaebie showing what appears to be an intoxicated man banging on the door of a hotel room in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The disturbance was filmed by several guests from various angles, helping to piece together the puzzle of what happened.
While various commenters on each of the videos suggest a sort of marital dispute, one suggests that the whole thing could also have just been a mix-up.
The video above was posted by user @disneybaebie on TikTok with text that reads, “This is what I see walking back to my room: 😳.” In it, you can see a shirtless man banging against a hotel door while making grunting sounds. You can also see various other guests standing a distance away, also recording the situation. The caption for the video reads, “luckily security and the police came shortly after the chaos and disney manager came to assist too !“
According to a different video showcasing a different angle of the situation, “A late-night incident at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort reportedly involved an adult male attempting to enter the wrong guest room, catching visitors off guard during one of the busiest travel weeks of the year.” In this video, you can see the man trying to break through the door with what looks to be either a trash can or a suitcase.
The rest of the caption for this video reads, “It’s unclear whether this was a simple mix-up or something more, but it’s another reminder of how hectic things can get during peak crowds.” Various commenters under the different videos expressed their opinions on the man’s actions, with one person under this video even poking fun at it and saying, “Today must have been Epcot day,” referring to the unofficial Drinking Around the World at EPCOT challenge using alcoholic beverages.
Man Causes Disturbance at Disney’s Art of Animation Hotel in Florida
According to a video posted by a different TikTok user from yet another angle, it appears that the authorities arrived at the scene and put the man making the disturbance in handcuffs. At the very end, he is then seen being escorted away by the police, presumably to be spoken to away from other guests.
Additional updates have not been made about the situation, and as of now, Disney has not made any comments concerning it.
