The iPhone 7 rumor mill keeps chugging.
The internet is bubbling with excitement over recent news about Apple’s next generation smartphone; the iPhone 7. Expected to release in late 2016, this newest version is clearly meant to shake things up with multiple changes. Both official press releases and leaks have claimed a lot of changes and improvements. These include no headphone jack and an uprgraded processor. However, one feature might be getting dropped according to a new rumor.
According to cultofmac.com, the eagerly anticipated dual lens camera may be dropped from the iPhone 7 Plus model;
“The Apple rumor mill has been spitting out reports all year that the biggest feature of the Plus-size iPhone will be the addition of a dual-lens camera that brings stellar low-light performance and other tricks to take iPhone photos one step closer to DSLR quality. However, a recent post on Chinese microblogging site Weibo claims the feature won’t make the cut.”
Currently only a rumor, the cited source for this claim is Weibo user ‘Old Yao’. This person cites sources at Foxconn, that claim the dual lens tech is considered ‘too immature’ for inclusion in the iPhone 7 Plus. This is still just a rumor so you might want to hold off the pitchforks and torches for now.
