Lately, it would seem that road rage incidents have become far more common, particularly in some states across the US. One example of this happened not long ago in Tampa Bay, Florida, where a truck driver almost ran over a biker who was minding his own business on the road. However, when the driver was confronted, he decided to threaten the biker, saying he’d shoot him. Yet, not everyone was innocent in this altercation, as the biker pulled out a knife to defend himself.
The original video comes from Instagram user TBBENJY, who is also one of the two individuals participating in this road rage incident. According to the OP, it all took place in Tampa Bay, Florida, where the truck driver was allegedly trying to run the biker over. The biker claims he was driving at 35 mph, the speed limit for that road, but the truck driver was too close behind him, making it seem as though he’d run him over.
After a while, the driver steps out of his truck, insulting the biker and pushing him off his bike. At this point, the OP stands up and pulls out a knife in a sign of defense. The driver returns to his vehicle and starts yelling at the biker. Then, the one inside the truck says, “You have that?” Referring to the knife, “I’ll show you something I really have.”
Both men continue arguing, throwing insults at each other, until one pedestrian steps in to attempt to de-escalate the situation. However, he fails at doing so, as both men decide to call the police. Unfortunately, this is where the video ends, and it is uncertain how the situation unfolded.
So far, the OP has only asked for help on his Instagram account to find the truck driver. A lot of Reddit and Instagram users have come to the defense of the biker, saying he was the victim in this altercation.
“It was an assault the moment he got into his space and threatened the biker. It was battery when he made physical contact. These are criminal complaints.” Said one user.
“Dude only felt comfortable doing that because he is str*pped. Heโll mouth off to the wrong person one day, who draws before he does.” Commented another person.
There’s still a lot of uncertainty regarding who was at fault when driving, but what is clear as day is the fact that the truck driver assaulted the biker. If the OP decides to do so, he could press charges against this person, who could really use some time away from the roads.
