One of the more controversial topics anybody can decide to speak publicly about is abortion. Entire political campaigns are run on it, and it’s single-handedly one of the most divisive topics in the United States. In New York, one pro-life activist posing as some sort of reporter was interviewing a woman on the subject, until things seemingly started okay but quickly devolved into a situation where this ‘journalist’ ended up eating a knuckle sandwich for her troubles.
In a video posted by 808sANDadlibs in the r/PublicFreakout Reddit page, an 8 minute clip of a woman interviewing a New York citizen about abortion and Planned Parenthood transpired in broad daylight of the busy metropolis. After a couple minutes, it quickly becomes apparent the woman doing the interview clearly has an agenda, and then tries to make the woman look a bit foolish and then increases the tension deliberately, possibly hoping to get a rise out of the woman, but what she got, was a lot more than she probably bargained for. The interviewer says the following in a clear attempt to goad the citizen and get a reaction.
I’m not the one who admitted they would be okay with killing baies in foster care and killing children that have been abused
Shortly after this, a reaction is indeed what she gets: she receives a two-piece and a biscuit, as they say in the streets, and she gets bloodied up by a couple of clean punches for her trouble. Many folks in the Reddit post had plenty to say about the altercation and what transpired.
“Welcome to New York”
“Of the 9 million discrete services they did in 2023, 4% of them were abortions. That $700m she’s talking about includes Medicare and Medicaid claims – not just grants. Only about 20% of that is operational grants. Yet they want to dismantle and defund the entire organization. The right is always trying to open windows with hammers just because it’s easy.”
“So anyone with an opinion and a camera is a journalist?”
“If there is so many families that want to adopt and raise these children, why is foster care so prevalent? Why do kids end up doing more foster homes than they can count on 2 hands? Genuine question as I am very fortunate to have had my family raise me, I know that’s not everyone’s reality.”
The woman has clearly been goaded into an attack, and it will keep happening as more and more fake journalists push the boundaries of acceptable questioning for the sake of clicks. Hopefully, she learned a lesson in this instance of being careful what you wish for. In New York, you just might get it.
