Companies often give away “free” offers to customers, but most of the time, there’s always a catch. One Pennsylvania woman found this out the hard way when she had work done on her car at a garage, and was given a “free car wash” ticket. Unbeknownst to her, however, this didn’t include a vacuum inside her car, which she believed was part of the deal. As a result, she was left with a $54 bill, which made her incredibly irate, and the footage from the heated customer interaction is making the rounds online. Do be warned that the following footage contains profanities.
While we don’t see the buildup before the verbal altercation, we do get to see the reaction of the Pennsylvania customer when she gets her hidden charge of $54. As the footage opens, a brief caption adds some context, stating, “it does not cost $54 to vacuum it inside of a car” and we see the woman at the counter of the garage in question. Sat in front of her is the garage employee, who is wearing a black short-sleeved uniform, and a look of bewilderment on his face.
The annoyed customer fires, “[expletive] clown right here! First of all, I’ve got a car, a ball change. It cost me damn near $80. I had a free car wash ticket. All I wanted to do was get on to my free car wash and clean the inside. How the inside cost me [expletive] $54? That means this car wash is not [expletive] free.” The employee doesn’t try to argue with the woman, though she then starts to get quite personal with her remarks. Luckily, the employee has a good sense of humor, and begins chuckling to himself due to the sheer absurdness of the encounter. You can also hear other patrons giggling in the background as the woman’s rant continues, “Free means free!“
Next, the woman then states that she’s called the police and that she is “waiting patiently” for them to arrive to sort out the misunderstanding. Apparently, what really riled up the woman was the fact that the employee called her “broke” earlier in the conversation, though that’s not included in the footage. Near the end of the incident, the frustrated customer even threatens to “call Donald Trump” because she thinks that some of the workers look like they’re working “illegally”. It’s currently unclear, however, whether the police actually arrived to the scene.
People Reacting to the Heated Altercation
Of course, many social media commenters found the whole incident amusing, and many sided with the angry customer in the video. One person on Reddit wrote, “I don’t care who was right, that [expletive] was hilarious” while another chimed in with, “☠️ She said she’s calling Trump 🤣” Another lighthearted comment came in on Instagram, penning, “Hey miss, can I hire you to speak on behalf of me for the rest of my life” while a fourth exclaimed, “Even if the car wash was free.. $54 for vacuuming is wild … did they moisten the leather 😂”
