It feels like just yesterday that we were given the gift of Iron Harvest. While it’s isn’t the next major game that everyone’s talking about, it’s helped to show interest in a genre long thought dead after Starcraft II. A major reason for that wave is the consistent updates that the game sees. As expected, December will be no different. Today, the Iron Harvest team detailed what players can expect from Iron Harvest in December. There are quite substantial changes, all breathing new life into the title. You can find the roadmap below.
What’s Coming to Iron Harvest in December?
Similar to usual roadmaps, December’s Iron Harvest content schedule will introduce new things each week. During week 1, we’ll see a major quality of life feature come over in the form of cancellable upgrades. If you decide your building upgrade isn’t the best option, you can choose to cancel it and refund your resources. Nothing too big, but definitely a solid change. The second week will bring a shared matchmaking pool as well, allowing you to get back into the action even faster. As for week three, you’ll see the introduction of the upcoming Rusviet Revolution DLC, which brings several new campaign missions. And finally there’s week four, which won’t have any content as the Iron Harvest team leaves for the holidays. Even those in this alternate history need to celebrate with their family.
While that is one less week of content updates, Iron Harvest will bring out a lot for fans this month. I’d imagine you’re most excited for Rusviet Revolution for all the right reasons, given it’s bringing a new story to the fray. If you’re excited for the DLC, along with the other changes coming this month, be sure to let me know in the comments below.
Iron Harvest is available exclusively on PC. Console versions are planned for the first quarter of 2021.
