On Thursday, Demi Moore and an audience member had an encounter at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala. During the event, the 61-year-old was given the honor of introducing Cher to the stage.
“I’m just making sure that you’re really, really with me,” she began her introduction, per video footage posted on X. She continued, “Because this incredible woman that I’m about to introduce…she’s a Grammy winner, an Oscar winner, an Emmy winner…”
At this point, the Indecent Proposal star paused, diverting her attention to someone in the audience who seemingly agitated her. “Are you an Emmy winner over there in the back of the room? I f***ing don’t think so,” Moore said, directly addressing the audience member. Amid cheers and applause, the film producer continued with her introduction, praising Cher. “The bottom line is she’s just one of the most talented, successful, and best-loved performers of all time,” Moore said before the singer hit the stage to perform a medley of her hits.

Before the incident, Demi Moore and Cher had a reunion on the red carpet after nearly three decades. Recall that the duo both starred in the 1996 HBO series If These Walls Could Talk. On the red carpet, they showcased their beautiful longtime friendship, wrapping arms around each other. At some point, Moore even leaned in for a kiss from Cher. Besides simply exchanging pleasantries, the stars also posed for pictures. Photos from the event showed Moore dazzling in a cowl-neck white dress with a high side split and a long train. She paired the dress with silver strap heels and silver jewelry.
On the other hand, Cher stunned in a contrasting black dress and furry coat. She wore her long black tresses in waves cascading down her shoulders, finishing off with various accessories. Overall, while the pair turned heads with their outfits, they also depicted real friendship.
