We may have a new incoming Fallout bundle. Spotted on the German Amazon, the listing is for a PC edition that is supposedly set for a October 25 2019 release. The collection has been noted as containing all six games, excluding Fallout 76. This is an excellent time for fans of the later games to check out the classics of the franchise. Plus, long-time fans can get a little slice of nostalgia too. However, it is unclear whether this rumoured release is for consoles as well.
Kotaku Australia reports on this matter, listing all four of the mainline Fallout games as part of the collection. Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout Tactics are also in the bundle. Finally, all DLC is reported as being listed too.
The bundle is being sold for 39,99€ (about $43 US or £35.50). It is one heck of a price, should this listing be real. The wealth of material on hand is stunning and is rare to come across for that price these days.
Bethesda has not confirmed this listing, but will need to announce it soon if the release is true.
Why This The Perfect Time For A Fallout Collection
While all of the previous Fallout games are available to purchase on Steam, they are somewhat buried amongst the horde of new titles releasing every day. It would seem that only those who are wanting to seek out the older games will find them. However, releasing the games as part of a new collection will certainly open up the franchise to a new audience.
People are much more aware of Fallout now than they have ever been. This may be down to the controvery of Fallout 76 or the heaps of praise thrown on previous titles. It even may even be so due to the success of Skyrim. All I know for certain is that Bethesda needs a little good faith around now and this collection may be the perfect way to bring some back.
I just hope that this collection, if proven real, will not require a Bethesda.net log in…
