One of the biggest questions with any new game, like Fae Farm, is: does it have multiplayer co-op? Playing a new game is excellent, but having the opportunity to play a new game with your friends is much better! With a game that has so many similarities to Stardew Valley, it just wouldn’t feel the same without a co-op option. We’re here to tell you the different multiplayer options that Fae Farm makes available to you. That said, yes, Fae Farm is multiplayer. Will you be farming with your friends in the latest game by Phenix Labs? We sure will.

After you hop in Fae Farm and start exploring the mysterious and magical lands of Azoria, you’ll quickly realize that games aren’t nearly as fun without playing with your friends. However, since Fae Farm does have co-op capabilities, we’re in luck.

Fae Farm has both Online and Local multiplayer, so you can play with anyone, wherever they are. While it might be fun to collect resources and build up your farm, it’s always easier with a buddy, and Phoenix Labs definitely thought about that while developing Fae Farm.

Fae Farm allows for:

  • Single Player Mode
  • Local Co-op for 2-4 players
  • Online multiplayer for 2-4 players

How To Start Multiplayer in Fae Farm

Beginning a multiplayer game is relatively easy in Fae Farm. At the game’s main menu, there will be several options:

  • Continue
  • Play Game
  • Join Game
  • Phoenix Labs Friends
  • Settings

For multiplayer purposes, we’re going to choose the Join Game option. This action will allow us to join one of our friends in-game. Additionally, if you have chosen to Continue or Play Game, you can open up your menu and search for the Multiplayer Menu marked with a purple and pink controller icon. Keep in mind that you cannot access the Multiplayer menu until you have completed Chapter One. Inside the Multiplayer Menu you can view requests your friends have sent you to join their game by navigating to the World Invites tab. Additionally, you can send requests out to your friends to invite them into your game from this menu. If you’re interested in hosting a local multiplayer game, you can use the Host Local option from the Multiplayer Menu.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
