The recently announced Need for Speed Unbound took the gaming sphere by storm. Delivering a very stylish, graffiti-like visual while combining stylized characters and effects with photorealistic cars, gamers hope that Criterion will be able to go back to the series’ roots with this title. But as a racing games fan that likes to compete among friends, maybe you have other doubts in mind: will Need for Speed Unbound be released with multiplayer and crossplay capabilities?

Does Need for Speed Unbound Have Multiplayer?

Yes, just like all its predecessors, you can play Need for Speed Unbound with friends and other players through various online races as well as a multiplayer campaign mode, which will be separated from the single-player campaign. Need for Speed Unbound also has crossplay across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

However, console players need to remember that the game will not be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Meanwhile, PC players would want to check out its system requirements, as seen below.

According to the store page, Need for Speed Unbound on PC will be compatible with HDR10, supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) for a smoother and more consistent picture and reduced screen tear, Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) for higher frame rates, and will serve double “the simulation rate” of the previous entry, the 2019 Need for Speed Heat.

Need for Speed Unbound will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and EA
