Once Human is a little hard to explain. Imagine an MMO survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world that bends time and reality with a bit of supernatural power sprinkled in. Some people got the chance to play through the beta test, leading console users to be a bit jealous. Considering that nearly 14.5 million people have already pre-registered, I would sure hope that the game would be coming to consoles.
Unfortunately, developer Starry Studio has not announced whether or not Once Human will be available on consoles. I enjoyed my time with the beta and feel it would work great on consoles. Of course, it’s still in its early stages and hasn’t even been completely released yet. Hopefully, the game will see so much growth that putting it on consoles would be justified.
Conversations within the Discord server prove that fans definitely want Once Human to come to consoles. You’ll even find it to be a popular question in the replies to posts on the official Twitter/X page. In fact, user @iTz_Jvmper asked, and the official account responded.
Social media followers will likely be the first to know if it is officially announced for PlayStation, Xbox, or even Nintendo platforms. Realistically, it makes sense for them not to overcommit and simultaneously launch on consoles. Considering the niche landscape of the game, needing tons of player feedback is crucial, and who better to provide honest feedback than PC players? It’ll probably take a year or two, but we’ll definitely know whether or not there are any intentions to bring it to consoles by then.
Once Human is set to release on July 9 for PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and on mobile devices.
