Following in the footsteps of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Disney Dreamlight Valley, Palia is the latest MMO shared-world game where you can create a cozy life of your own. Players can gather materials, craft, decorate and explore the magical world of Palia, uncovering its secrets in single-player or multiplayer mode. With the game now in open beta on PC and coming soon to the Switch, prospective players are wondering if Palia will be making the jump to Xbox or PlayStation, and if so, when? Unfortunately for owners of those consoles, Palia‘s developers have thus far only planned for the PC and Switch releases.
Will Palia Be Coming to PlayStation or Xbox?
Palia, developed by Singularity Six, was first announced in June 2021. Alpha testing of the game began not long after the first announcement, followed by a closed beta phase that was announced for PC in July 2023. Palia‘s closed beta phase began on PC on August 2nd, 2023, and the open beta phase began yesterday, August 10th. At the moment, Palia is only available on PC, but back in June, the developers announced that it would be released on the Nintendo Switch sometime in the Holiday 2023 period. An exact date hasn’t been revealed yet, but this is still good news for Switch players.
Aside from the Switch, however, there’s been no sign of Palia releasing for other consoles like the Xbox or PlayStation. Of course, it’s impossible to guess where the game will go or how popular it’ll become, so we can’t rule out the possibility that it may come to those consoles sometime in the future. Right now, however, it looks like Palia will not be available to play on Xbox or PlayStation.
