Remnant 2 is a long game that has lots of content and builds to explore. Even if you play with a few friends, there’s a lot of story to cover. But once it’s done, you get a chance to see the ending. There was a deep New Game Plus in the previous game, Remnant: From The Ashes. This allowed players to start the game again with their builds and weapons while experiencing the game from the beginning. If the previous game had it, then the sequel should have it. Logic doesn’t always work that way though. Is there New Game Plus in Remannt 2, or is it over once the story ends?

Does Remnant 2 Have New Game Plus?

Remnant 2 does have something similar to a New Game Plus, which is a re-roll mechanic. You can replay maps to get better equipment and experiment with different builds. You can “re-roll” what you experience in the first campaign since many random factors exist. This means new bosses, enemies, and map areas to explore. This isn’t the same as a New Game Plus, as you do not need to beat the story to get it. But it will require you to have a good grasp of the game’s mechanics. Otherwise, you won’t be able to take advantage of re-rolling.

Every world you travel through will be different, and it won’t work exactly like it did in Remnant: From The Ashes. Fortunately, this means you don’t have to progress the story just to experience the re-roll mechanic. You must use the re-roll mechanic at the start of your game’s world, but that’s the only requirement. Remember that if you are playing with friends, they will also experience a re-rolled world. This can take newer players by surprise, and you should let them know that enemies will be more challenging.

Take your time in Remnant 2, and don’t rush through the game if you aren’t ready. Re-rolling new worlds is good enough, and you can take your time. Solidify your favorite build and get equipment that suits you. Then you can go through the worlds and start cutting through your enemies. Don’t be afraid to re-roll if things aren’t going well or you want a change. Just ensure you know what it does and what you should expect going forward. Otherwise, you could be in for a very nasty surprise.
