What initially appeared to be a Nazi-saluting, hijab-wearing “Muslim” woman in California has been making the rounds on social media for, well, essentially outdoing most political satires in existence. Turns out the woman was a fraud (thankfully), and her social antics have led to yet another arrest, which might have revealed her true motives as she was actually an Israeli and an influencer to boot.
The woman was later identified as Yasmeen Zohra Roubou from Irvine, California, and apparently, she has a bit of a following as an Israeli-born influencer. Around May 20, Yasmeen uploaded a video of her wearing a hijab for Muslim women, performing some Nazi salutes in the streets of Irvine while shouting “Heil f**king Hitler“.
Furthermore, Yasmeen appeared to be accompanied by a truck with the words “F the IDF” (Israeli Defense Force) painted on its back. The police were only prompted to respond after Yasmeen kept harassing another woman nearby. After the incident, the two were arrested by the Beverly Hills PD. Following the circulation of her video online, Yasmeen garnered some deportation sentiments.
So far, it’s not clear yet what became of Yasmeen and the truck driver after their arrest, and it’s also not clear what the charges were; however, it appears the Israeli influencer is used to legal entanglements already.
Who is Yasmeen Zohra Roubou?
As a recap of what exactly happened, Yasmeen is an Israeli or Israel-sympathizing influencer who sought to tarnish the Muslim reputation in the US by pretending to be a “Nazi Muslim”. It’s not clear whether Yasmeen is associated with the IDF or any Israeli government agency, but many people had already pointed out some telltale signs of her being a fake Muslim from her smear video, such as the visually excessive plastic surgery.
Some people online even accused Yasmeen of being a “Pornstar but wears a hijab? fraud”. Still, it’s hard to be certain what exactly her profession is that would require her to participate in a smear campaign against Muslims, which was too obvious anyway.
Unsurprisingly, Yasmeen Zohra Roubou actually has had several run-ins with the law in California dating back to 2022. To quote one online sleuth, Yasmeen has been “in and out of courtrooms.” Yasmeen’s most recent arrest and stunt is practically a regular Tuesday for her. Furthermore, it appears the Israeli influencer is well aware of how to circumvent US laws and will likely appear in public again with another stunt.
