Itch.io, the premier online store for independent games, is offering a special bundle of games. The Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality features over 740 works from over 500 creators, with all proceeds donated to racial justice charities.
After the killing of George Floyd by police in Minneapolis, widespread protests across the United States have pushed a need to address racism and police brutality.
Itch.io Bundle Includes, Games, Software and More
The bundle features a wide range of games, from smaller independent games to popular indie hits. Some of the games included in the bundle are Oxenfree, Night in the Woods, and A Short Hike.
Along with games, the bundle also features special art assets to use in your games and more. For example, one of the goofier works is Desktop Goose. The software adds a goose to your desktop to cause havoc akin to Untitled Goose Game.
The bundle includes over 740 works ranging from games, art, and software. The bundle totals at over $3,400 in value, which at the $5 minimum donation you’ll have plenty to play for the near future.
One aspect to note about the bundle is that it does not include any Steam keys for download. If you purchase the bundle, you will have to directly download the games from the Itch.io page.
Raises Funds for NAACP and Community Bail Fund
All proceeds of the Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality will be split 50/50 between NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and the Community Bail Fund.
The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund focuses on racial justice through litigation, advocacy and public education. The Community Bail Fund raises funds for over 70 bail and mutual aid funds across the country.
