A recent episode of Lorraine Kelly’s show honored Strictly Come Dancing and DWTS judge Len Goodman. He passed away over the weekend in the presence of his loved ones.
Strictly Come Dancing star Len Goodman set the record as a dancer and judge on the show. From its launch in 2004 to 2016, he played a vital role as head judge. During that same time, Goodman served as a judge on “Dancing With the Stars.” He remained with the US adaptation until last year. After being with the “DWTS” family for seventeen years, he retired.
Goodman, famous for his tough judge demeanor, kicked the bucket over the weekend. He had suffered bone cancer and was in a hospice in Kent. This was the same place he died. A statement from his manager, Jackie Gill, showed that it was a peaceful exit.
He was a ballroom dancer and judge to many, but he was also a family man. Goodman was surrounded by his loved ones, who were the last people he saw before closing his eyes. According to a statement from Gill, he was:
“A much-loved husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who knew him.”
Truly, Goodman was good at whatever he did. While he was at his best with his family, he owned his Hollywood persona. Many recognized him for his blunt attitude and perfection. Even after his death, fans and friends have churned out tributes to glorify the dancer. An example is Lorraine Kelly, who paused her show for a Len Goodman tribute.
