Rumors are flying about who will be the next James Bond. Though current 007 agent actor Danial Craig hasn’t come out officially as leaving the spy series (especially since he is contracted for one more sequel), actor Jamie Bell has already been added to the list of future contenders.
Jamie Bell, known for his work on the 2013 film Snowpiercer, has been confirmed to be in talks with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli. Both Bell and Broccoli are currently working together on “Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool”. However, the seriousness of the talks about Bell’s Bond connections is unknown at this present moment.
Jamie Bell does embody several Bond characteristics as it is. Physical prowess and dapper sense of style are two of the most compatible characteristics. However, he is a tad bit shorter than Bond himself.
Daniel Craig’s eventual leave from the throne isn’t anything but sudden. He has been quite vocal about his disdain to play Bond again publically in an interview with Timeout saying “I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”.
At this current moment, the contenders for next reincarnation of James Bond are Jamie Bell, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Damien Lewis, James Norton, Gillian Anderson, and Aiden Turner. Hopefully, we should know more after the second quarter of 2016.
